Sherlock Holmes Easter Special

Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson received a highly sensitive letter from Turin. The venerable Cardinal Maurilio Fassati himself requested the master detective's help in an extremely delicate matter. The Shroud of Turin had been stolen from the Chapel of the Holy Shroud in the Cathedral! And just before Easter! A disaster! Holmes and Watson decided to leave for Turin immediately. Unfortunately, Holmes realised far too late that they weren't travelling as a trio, but that Watson had smuggled along his new friend, the mongrel Sausages, as a stowaway. On the train, they made a rather questionable acquaintance with a most conspicuous lady. And that's when the first trouble began...

Having arrived in Turin, Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson first checked into their accommodation and then immediately set off to speak with Cardinal Fassati. It transpired that only three people possessed a key to the Shroud Chapel: the Cardinal himself and two of his closest confidants, the elderly Pastor Spina and a younger pastor named Milani. When Watson went out for an evening walk with his dog, he made a discovery in the park. 13 men had gathered around a table and were dining. One of them was wearing the Shroud of Turin. The case appeared to be solved, but additional duplicates of the missing shroud quickly surfaced. When a dead body was found in the chapel on Good Friday, the entire case took quite a different turn...

Having finally discovered a new lead, Holmes and Watson learned that one of the pastors had a secret lover. Unfortunately, this glimmer of hope soon proved to be another dead end. There was still no new evidence to indicate whether any of the discovered shrouds was the original or if they were all merely copies. Thus, Holmes decided to employ an interrogation method that would surpass anything previously attempted...

Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson made no progress in their case concerning the stolen burial shroud and the murder that had occurred in the meantime. Therefore, they decided to shadow their pastor. Another suspect emerged. And then, quite suddenly, Holmes and Watson received a confession. But was this truly the solution to the mystery?

Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson learned an incredible story. And this was not to be the last one. For while their suspect was already behind bars, Holmes could not fully believe the matter. By chance, Watson led him to a new thought. Holmes decided to act immediately. And who the two ultimately encountered exceeded all expectations. But one question still remained unanswered: Where was the burial shroud?
