Kit The Wizard

Kit Spencer can't stand reading. She'd rather be outside playing and getting muddy than stuck inside with a book. But when her best friends, Josh and Alita, drag her to the local library, Kit makes an incredible discovery: she's a wizard-and books are the key to her abilities. Unfortunately, a greedy businessman wants to tear down the beloved library, destroying all its magic. To make matters worse, there's a sleeping dragon hidden there, and if she's awakened, her wild power will wreak havoc. With the help of a friendly dragon-dog hybrid named Dogon, Kit and her companions will have to find a way to save the dragon in the library-and maybe the world!

Kit may be the youngest wizard ever, but she sure doesn't feel like the best wizard. Her magic just keeps going wrong, and other weird stuff is happening too: talking animals, exploding fireballs, and a very strange new arrival in the local park. Even Dogon (the half dog, half dragon) is droopy! So Kit and her two best friends-animal-whispering Alita and studious Josh-set off with Faith the librarian to investigate this wild magic that's causing so much commotion. Their journey takes them to a Scottish loch, where they meet an eco-conscious wizard and some very grumpy mermaids (careful, they pinch!). But the danger is greater than they imagined, and it will take everybody's help to set things right again.

It's a new school year for Kit, Alita, and Josh. The three friends learn that their school is getting a brand-new library-and a brand-new baby dragon to help the library grow. They're overjoyed to look after the precious dragon egg until it hatches-it's like all their Christmases and Diwalis and birthdays have come at once! But when the egg is stolen, Kit and her friends are faced with a group of evil wizards who want to change the magical world forever. Now it's up to the three of them to make sure the villains from their pasts don't return even more powerful than before. With help from old allies (such as Dogon, the friendly half-dog, half-dragon), Kit, Alita, and Josh prepare for their most epic showdown so far.
