Hilda the Wicked Witch
by Paul Kater
Part 1 of the Hilda the Wicked Witch series
A fairy-land witch is transported to our world as a mishap makes a spell blow up in her face and mirror. The journey home is one filled with struggle, problems and many misunderstandings. Paul Kater was born in the Netherlands in 1960. He quickly developed a feel for languages but did not pursue a career in those as his native language, Dutch, did not offer many options in that time.Since 2003 he's been writing seriously, first posting his scribblings to an amateur writers mailinglist, and then publishing shorter and longer stories on the internet. Paul currently lives in Cuijk (the Netherlands), with his two cats, his books and the many characters he's developed in the past years, who claim he is a figment of their imagination.Paul mainly writes Fantasy and Science Fiction/Steampunk but also tries his luck in other genres.Visit the author at http://www.paulkater.comInterested in other English-writing Dutch authors? Ferguson and the Suits
by Paul Kater
Part 28 of the Hilda the Wicked Witch series
It won't be a surprise that strange things are happening in and near the village of Sunrise, where Hilda and her family live. Queen Isla reports things gone missing, while Krypteria, now head mistress of the Magic School, sends someone over to Hilda's house because they have 'a problem' on their hands. As Hilda and family find out, more things have gone missing in various places, and they're all the same things. Suits of armor.Unsurprisingly it's up to Hilda and her companions to find out what is happening, who's behind it and how everything can be put to rights again. Paul Kater was born in the Netherlands in 1960. He quickly developed a feel for books and languages but ended up in the IT business despite that. Books and languages never ceased to fascinate him, so since 2003 he's been actively writing, encouraged by friends on the internet. The internet is the reason why most of his work is in English. A friend asking for writing help is why some of his writing is now also in Dutch.
Paul currently lives in Cuijk, the Netherlands, with his books, possibly with cats, and the many characters he's developed in the past years, who claim he is a figment of their imagination.
