It's the second installment in his series featuring the "Associated Shades," which are a group of ghosts led by Sherlock Holmes. The full title is often shortened to "The Pursuit of the House-Boat" or "Pursuit of the House-Boat," and it was originally published as a serial in “Harper's Weekly.”
