Forgotten Masters

The second book in the series, here we find ourselves discovering a new path, one which will lead us to new worlds and new challenges. But this is only the beginning of our journey, as we will learn of an unexpected peril to challenge us beyond what some may think to be our limits. The discovery of an ancient enemy that should no longer exist, and his designs to return to power.

As we make our way forward, we must discover new lands and those who live there. But the lands we are exploring seem nearly empty, and we find ourselves with a new dilemma, one we must find an answer to if we should wish to uphold our higher virtues. We are not destroyers, but rather saviors. Our teachings demand no less. Here, we will be tested.

At last, we have arrived, although our work is only beginning here. We see mayhem in the form of our opponent's deeds. And even though we have defeated him elsewhere, he is still making his attempts, perhaps recklessly now. We will find our allies and make our advance, and begin unraveling his work, one thread at a time.

We have glimpsed the truth, and it shocks us. What we once thought we came to fight is instead in need of saving. But they are in a precarious position. Our advance from this point must be cautious. We cannot tell them who we are, and yet they must know of their own perils. The ancient beings we are pursuing are right there in the background.

A cleverly played ruse, especially if laid down by a being of higher design, can invoke mayhem, and as we arrive in this new world, we find one such occasion. We can see what they did, and once again, we must save what we can. But this time, we have a chance to peek under the folds of their intrigue. The enemy is coming within sight. Now we must learn their secret.
