Extraordinary Eliana

It's Hmong New Year, and everyone in Eliana's family has an important task to perform-everyone except Eliana, that is. She wants to help-and TRIES to help-but she keeps being told "no." Is Eliana too small to do ANYTHING to help get ready for the New Year?

Eliana gets to teach an activity to her classmates, but what should she teach? She wants it to be something delightful! She watches Astrid and Apollo practice a Hmong dance for the culture show. That's definitely delightful, but they say she's too young to be in the show. Then Eliana decides she's not too young to teach a dance, and soon everyone's joining in on Eliana's own Delightful Dance!

On a snowy day stuck inside, Eliana watches as her grandmother makes "perfect" needlework designs and Astrid makes "perfect" paper dolls. Eliana wants to make something perfect too! But when she gives it a try, she accidentally ruins Nia Thy's work. Then Eliana discovers that "perfect" comes in many different designs!

Eliana wants to help as the family works together in the kitchen making egg rolls-to make sure they are excellent! When she gets a chance to add a bit more salt, a kitchen mishap occurs, and Eliana must think quickly to save the egg rolls. A family taste test will determine whether her creative solution is delicious or disastrous!
