In Backstage Pass, shy, reserved Melody (Mello), gets her world rocked when a new girl moves in across the street from her best friend, Harmony. Soon downtime-or any time with Harmony at all-looks like a thing of the past as the strong-willed Trinity invades Mello and Harmony's world and insists that the three start a rock band. With a little help from the neighborhood computer geek, Lamont, the girls are transformed into music-video superheroes who triumph over sin with the power of the Holy Spirit. Somewhere along the way they open their hearts, learning that both old friends and new are important, and the Chosen Girls band is born.

Ultimately, the Chosen Girls are united again in time to sing for a crowd that really needs to hear what they have to say.

The band lands a fantastic opportunity to travel to Russia, but the "international tour" as they dub it, brings out Trinity's take-charge personality. Almost too confidently, she tries to control fundraising efforts and the tour to avoid another mess by Harmony. But cultural challenges, band member clashes, the intense touring schedule, and some messes of her own convince Trinity she's not really in charge after all. God is. But a last-minute crisis at camp means an opportunity for the band to lead worship every morning, plus headline the camp's big beach concert, and go to camp for free. Too busy and unhappy, Mello makes some selfish choices that result in the girls getting lost, sunburned, in trouble, and embarrassed. Can she pull out of the downward spiral before she ruins camp - and the band-completely?
