Mary: The Summoning
by Hillary Monahan
Part 1 of the Bloody Mary series
There is a right way and a wrong way to summon her.
Jess had done the research. Success requires precision: a dark room, a mirror, a candle, salt, and four teenage girls. Each of them--Jess, Shauna, Kitty, and Anna--must link hands, follow the rules . . . and never let go.
A thrilling fear spins around the room the first time Jess calls her name: "Bloody Mary. Bloody Mary. BLOODY MARY." A ripple of terror follows when a shadowy silhouette emerges through the fog, a specter trapped behind the mirror.
Once is not enough, though--at least not for Jess. Mary is called again. And again. But when their summoning circle is broken, Bloody Mary slips through the glass with a taste for revenge on her lips. As the girls struggle to escape Mary's wrath, loyalties are questioned, friendships are torn apart, and lives are forever altered.
A haunting trail of clues leads Shauna on a desperate search to uncover the legacy of Mary Worth. What she finds will change everything, but will it be enough to stop Mary--and Jess--before it's too late?

The Head in the Tree
by K. T. Williams
Part of the Bloody Mary series
When someone is murdered it is natural for them to want revenge. But what if instead of revenge, the spirit wants to just spread the misery? Cordelia was like every other kid, like countless other preteens, she heard the story of a woman who had been horrifically murdered and called her name three times facing a mirror in a dark bathroom. And like all other kids, she was fine. At least for awhile. ---- This story came from a childhood of being terrified of Bloody Mary. Like every other kid, I 'summoned' her after splashing a mirror with water and turning off the lights. I can only assume the tradition stems from people seeing their own dark reflection and the dripping water looks like blood in the dark... Regardless, I was terrified Bloody Mary was living in my mirrors and ready to pounce at any time. For years, I wouldn't turn off lights in a room with a mirror. So I thought it would be fun to write just as a story-- Cordelia is terrified of Bloody Mary for years but instead of Bloody Mary being just a kid's story, what if she was real and just waiting for the perfect moment to attack. My name is KT Williams and I am very proud disabled writer. I've been writing and creating content every since I was 7 years old. This is a dream come true to have my stories out in the world and to entertain readers. I want to keep growing as a writer and one inspired others to follow their dreams and goals no matter what!

The Longest Ride With a Dead Stranger
Book #0
by K. T. Williams
Part of the Bloody Mary series
Henrietta is a typical stressed out Community College student; she has two engineering weed out classes, a roommate who just skipped out on rent, a spiteful boss at her part time job, and an angry spirit bent on revenge after her. She and her cousin summoned the ghost of a woman who had been so brutally murdered that she was unable to move onto the afterlife. They thought it was a joke. After all, it wasn't like the ghost jumped out of the mirror to claim her revenge after they said her name three times. Recurring nightmares and the occasional sighting of a woman bleeding out don't mean anything. Right? That is until the ghost reappears and is ready to stake her claim on Henrietta. -This story came from a conversation about the Bloody Mary, Candyman, Jason, and the other villains that follow the "they were so wronged in life, they are forced to exact revenge" trope. We ended up in violent agreement that no matter how much the villain was wronged in life, they are still just killing some innocent person. We agreed even thought Bloody Mary had been horribly wronged in life, taking it out on someone who summoned her was still kind of a d*** move. So when developing our version of Bloody Mary, we were like "what if she's just a bad person?" Killing some innocent person isn't really revenge, it's just spreading the misery. And since this conversation happened while one of us was driving, it seemed like a great setting for a Bloody Mary story. My name is KT Williams and I am very proud disabled writer.
