Chloe's Fathers
by R. F. DeAngelis
Part 2 of the Blackthorn (DeAngelis) series
My name is Chloe Blackthorn, and I am a Thief.
Lord Marcus Thunderhammer, High Lord Paladin of Ca'talls, a man of such noble birth, a man so beloved that people on the streets I ran said he should have been king, would have been king, if he were alive. Turns out, he is. He's now the High Marshall of Five Rivers, the Crescent City, city of trade and intrigue.
He's also my Father.
My past is catching up to me, and now that I know that, so is his.
Things aren't adding up. A web of lies stretching back to before my birth and the ramblings of a mad woman are all connected, and my old mentor is at the heart of it. I need time to work out what it all means, time I do not seem to have. Forces are on the move in the shadows of my father's city. The question is, will it be destroyed from within or from without.
I'm Chloe Blackthorn, a thief.
I'm a thief damn it!

Chloe's Wars
by R. F. DeAngelis
Part 3 of the Blackthorn (DeAngelis) series
Blackthorn Part Three, Chloe's Wars.
Me, a Queen! Well, Crown Princess.
Fine, but there are going to be some changes around here. First and foremost, I'm going to give the common people a voice. I'm going to get the great and the good - read the rich and the powerful - to actually pay for what they use. Then I'm going to do something about the laws that let the nobles rob us blind, but takes the hand off the man stealing bread to feed his family.
Lots of Big Ideas, but reality hits hard.
First, I need to know what the laws are. Second, I need to build a power base of the nobles and merchants I intend to tax. Third, I have to keep the people happy and let them know that my new position isn't going to change me.
This isn't easy. No, it's an all-out war on many fronts.
So I wasn't surprised when the Assassins came. Someone has put a price on my head, and I need to figure out who before I become Five Rivers' most beloved, dead Monarch. Even worse, if I don't win my other wars, I will become little more than a figurehead for the rich and powerful.
So many wars, and I may not be able to win all of them... or any of them.
All hail Queen Chloe Blackthorn, first of her name!
Gone but not forgotten!

Inquisition
by R. F. DeAngelis
Part 4 of the Blackthorn (DeAngelis) series
Vela of the Long Spear has declared war upon South Point. Needless to say, a LeatherWing declaring war on one of The Kingdoms of the Sacred Light had left many people uneasy. I, in my new role as Queen, and Vela's Daughter in Law, has put me in the best position to talk The Queen of the Bone down.
As we made out way to South Point, we began to run into the ruins of towns we had been to, all with the same calling card.
The Inquisition has returned, and with it, Unstoma.
But is this the historical Inquisition with all of the atrocities to follow, or is someone trading on that name in order to drum up fear?
Is Unstoma's reign of terror starting once more, or is something else afoot?
