Atrum Terra: Dark Lands tells the story of two people from different sides of the nation that struggle to survive after a devastating attack breaks the back of the United States. It is a journey in which the whole world is sent spiraling towards a dark future where humans are an endangered species. Jonathan Fisher is an average man living in Minnesota whose very sanity is tested when everything about his normal life is ripped away in an instant. He is left to survive in a new world full of victims, brigands, and a man-made plague that turns its victims into violent, mindless cannibals. Miguel Alverez is a Marine recruit trainee in California when the attack begins. He is thrown into active duty and must overcome the terror of a war from two sides as a biological weapon turns America's citizens against one another while enemy forces close in on the nation's borders.

The stage has been set and the hand has been dealt. America as we know it is no more. Those left alive are banding together for safety or hiding to survive the coming storm. After a brutal fight to the Mississippi River, Jonathan Fisher and the few survivors that follow him have begun their journey south. His task is clear and his reason to live has been renewed. Somewhere out there is power, working airplanes and a possible refuge from the nightmare around them. A small mute girl known as Geeda deserves a chance at life, and they want to make sure she has it. But it will not be easy. Lack of food, shelter and weapons makes their trip difficult. Foreign invaders, infected crazed citizens, and treasonous Wranglers make it perilous. When Jonathan is separated from the group he must decide to carry on without them, or risk his own life to try to save the last sliver of hope and innocence he knows. After suffering a devastating defeat in the battle of Norfolk, Lance Corporal Miguel Alverez and First Sergeant Jack Ford make their way west escorting a group of rag tag refugees with a tidal wave of enemy soldiers hot on their heels. Making their stand on Trash Mountain, the Army of the Peoples Republic deploy something new and terrifying. Surrounded on all sides with no means of escape, one hundred poorly armed and exhausted defenders have little chance to survive an attack from a thousand Metties reinforced by an Army of invaders. Atrum Terra is the continuing story of how average people would survive the total collapse of the Nation and the start of all-out war on American soil.

War has spread throughout the world and the Metti virus consumes every continent. Attackers must now defend their own borders and alliances crumble as greed consumes the strong. A threat is kept, and a weapon known as The Grey Sheet is deployed as a final desperate attempt at victory. Even an unlikely alliance between sworn enemies may not be able to stop what's coming. Lieutenant Miguel Alverez is a broken man. Through retreat and defeat at every turn he has been given one final mission: To take a group of survivors to the mountains of New Mexico where the last American stronghold lies. Plans change however, and when his plane is shot down and those that survived are ambushed all seems lost until a thin, bearded man called Jonathan Fisher comes to their rescue. The untrusting man with a killer's eyes, along with his group of escaped prisoners, Civil War reenactors, and a strange, quiet child with a tattooed forehead make him uneasy. He must decide if he is their ally or their detainee, and When Fisher's camp is attacked by the RSSR he must decide whether to escape or risk his own life to help defend the strangers. The conclusion of Atrum Terra takes the survivors down the countryside of America and across seas. Through foreign invaders, Metties, desperate wild animals, even the very Earth attacking them at every corner, none may survive the Dark End.
