Encounter with the Hemogeny

Humanity thrives across the galaxy centuries after escaping Earth thanks to revolutionary stellar and interstellar engines. One of man's peaceful explorations into unknown space collides with the insectoid Hemogeny, Earthman's worst childhood nightmare. Luckily, the research ship "Curious" escapes their initial attack to finally meet with an escort fleet of small destroyers to escort the Curious home. Captain Teach must warn the Alliance in the Humanities capital, but gets sidetracked by a pirate attack on a freighter just after the brilliant alien Jemma and the Earth scientist develop an interstellar tachyon ship wake tracker. Excited, the captains of the joint task force returning to Kirkland, the capital, decide to test the device when they answer an SOS of a freighter being attacked by Pirates. The small navy fleet unknowingly trailed the pirates to a massive hidden base with a terrifying weapon. Now, the Curious, armed with reinvented weapons and a squadron of eight human destroyers, choose to do their duty. This time, they have an unexpected ally: Jemma, an ex-Hemogeny enslaved person in her fight for freedom. Can they survive the pirates and expose the weapon before it unleashes unimaginable destruction? As the intelligent Alien learns choices, she begins to settle on a plan to rescue her people. To do that, she must first save the Humans from themselves.

After the dreadful first contact with the galaxy's alien boogeymen, the Hemogeny, the Humans have returned to the Southwest Orion Arm of the Milky Way Galaxy. While Humanity's first encounter with the insectoid Hemogeny was terrifying, they are now armed with a fleet modified with weapons the research ship the Curious invented while hiding from the Hemogeny in a crater. Armed with two fleets with limited knowledge of the enemy and fueled by a need for preservation, they return to the battlefield led by the unorthodox Admiral Henry "Blackbeard" Teach and the formidable Nova Hall. They hunt the seemingly invincible enemy plaguing the galaxy with a mission to free the enslaved Canaanite civilization. But the galaxy holds dark secrets. The Humans find the source of their enemy's power lies in the twisted echoes of an ancient civilization - a civilization they find a connection to. As Humanity clashes with the vast resources of the Hemogeny, a truth emerges: they are not just enemies but linked by a shared forgotten past. In a desperate struggle for survival, Humanity must master this legacy, for victory could mean finding their proper place in the cosmos. At the same time, defeat could be the ultimate feast for their terrifying foe.
