Kidnapped by the Ruiz Cartel, Lochlan is kept in a state of perpetual weakness and starvation, his magic barely sustaining him. His resolve is tested when another prisoner is thrown into his cell, offering a grim choice: die in captivity or use dark Magic to consume his cellmate's life force, and escape.
