About
In this classic Clangers story, read by Oliver Postgate, a strange accident leads to a brand-new friendship. While testing Major Clanger's rockets, the family accidentally strikes an Iron Chicken flying through space. Feeling sorry for the metallic stranger, the Clangers gather the scattered pieces and carefully put her back together.
But once repaired, the Iron Chicken proves rather impolite, creating chaos on the Clangers' peaceful planet. Tiny Clanger, ever kind and patient, offers the visitor a copper-leaf necklace and gently explains how friends should behave. Touched by Tiny's generosity, the Iron Chicken leaves behind a special gift - an iron egg - and returns to her nest among the stars.
Read in Oliver Postgate's unmistakable voice, this story of understanding and kindness reminds us that even the noisiest strangers can become friends.
