Part 2.6 of the Clangers series
When unexpected debris from outer space crashes onto their peaceful planet, the Clangers explore these strange arrivals with curiosity and wonder. Today, Iron Chicken radios Tiny Clanger warning her egg will crash on the planet. Acting swiftly, the Clangers catch the egg with their tablecloth and wrap it up to keep it warm.
Relieved to see her egg safe, the Iron Chicken comes down to find a cozy crater to put the egg in and wait for it to hatch. Unexpectedly, the egg falls through the crater into the caves of the Soup Dragon. It tumbles and falls over a cliff in the cave. The Clangers quickly use a fishing pole to grab the iron egg.
The Clangers reel in the egg shell, but the delightful chick has already hatched. Bursting with hunger the Clangers quickly discover what Iron Chick likes to eat: delicious metal nuts, bolts, and screws. With the help of friends, the Iron Chicken's baby is safe.

Part 2.9 of the Clangers series
Uncovering a mirror in a quarry, Small Clanger becomes horribly obsessive about his discovery. While he proudly shows others his mirror, he refuses to allow anyone else to look at their reflection. Small Clanger's vanity causes him to be selfish and rude to his friends and family.
Nobody wants to speak to him or give him green soup, the Clangers' favourite meal. Soup Dragon makes a deal with Small: he can have some soup if he allows her to look into the mirror. (The Soup Dragon, curious as ever)
Small Clanger does not hold up his part of the bargain, so the Soup Dragon spills her soup over the reflective piece of glass. The mirror eventually falls down, cracking and putting an end to this silly quarrel between friends. Small learns the value of selflessness and friendship.
