The first feature film by Academy Award® winner Jane Campion charts a teenage friendship from its bittersweet end to its kismet beginnings. When we first see Louise and Kelly, their lives couldn't be more disparate, one dealing with high school and a scrutinizing mother while the other experiments with drugs and hook-ups. As the film progresses, the viewer is brought back in time across five episodes of the girls' friendship, revealing the subtle changes that sent them on different paths. Written by renowned Australian novelist Helen Garner and told with beautiful care, TWO FRIENDS is a funny, fierce and enthralling story of missed opportunities and minor traumas that take on meaning with the passage of time.
