It soon becomes apparent that there is a massive language barrier for Börje to overcome. The hot-headed owner of the Maple Leafs, Harold Ballard is questioning if signing the Europeans was a bad investment.

Ballard has hired a new coach, trading players left and right and pushing the players past their breaking points. The year is 1986, and Börje celebrates his 35th birthday. Still on top of his game and despite being approached by other teams, he is staying true and determined to bring home the Stanley Cup with the Maple Leafs.
