Blue Ridge Mountains, 1836.With the threat of the Cherokee removal looming, two hearts stand against the storm.Adohi, a young woman once caught between two worlds, and Tayané, a proud Cherokee leader, have fought to protect their people through hunger, exile, and loss. Now, as soldiers close in and the threat of the Trail of Tears looms, they lead a hidden band deep into the mountains - where faith, love, and the land itself become their only refuge.Told with lyrical prose and deep reverence for Cherokee history, The Heart of the Mountain is a sweeping tale of love, endurance, and the unbroken bond between people and place. It continues the legacy begun in The Captive's Heart and The Heart of Adohi, bringing the story full circle - from captivity, to courage, to renewal. Our novels are inspired by real events, true resilience, and the enduring strength of the human spirit. Each story blends fact and imagination, allowing readers to step into another time while finding connections that still resonate today, set in gentler realms, where affection remains pure and sentiment unspoiled by the coarser tones of the age. We write historical fiction books that explore lives shaped by history-stories of courage, hope, and survival. From Southern landscapes to moments of national significance, my work seeks to honor the people who lived through hardship and left behind legacies of strength. What draws us to historical storytelling is the way small, personal moments reflect larger truths. Whether inspired by family history, forgotten events, or places rich with heritage, my novels aim to weave together authenticity and emotion. Readers who enjoy fiction inspired by true stories will find narratives that are both deeply human and rooted in history. Our books are not just about the past-they are about understanding how the past continues to shape who we are today. Thank you for joining us on this journey through history and imagination. We hope my stories offer both an escape into another era and a reflection of the timeless resilience of the human spirit. Follow us at: https://RobertsRomanticStories.com
