The books of Jeremiah and Lamentations provide a powerful account of God's justice, judgment, and faithfulness in the face of persistent rebellion. Jeremiah delivers a sobering message of impending destruction due to Judah's sin while also offering hope through a promise of a New Covenant. Lamentations, written after the fall of Jerusalem in 586 BC, is a poetic expression of grief over the city's destruction while affirming God's enduring mercy and hope of restoration. Mike Mazzalongo has been a Bible teacher and preacher since 1979. He has served as Dean of Students at Oklahoma Christian University. Mike's first book was published in 1995 by College Press and he has written over 40 other books since that time. He presently serves as the Media Minister for the Choctaw Church of Christ located in the Oklahoma City area. Mike is married to Lise and together they have 4 children and 12 grandchildren.
