This two-part classic reveals the dissolution of an eighteen-year marriage from two very differing points of view. Martin and Jane Reynolds, brought together by chance after a two-year separation, reminisce on their past lives together and the family that they shared. Martin remembers the sadomasochistic union he had been condemned to while Jane contemplates the scars that their children have accrued while witnessing their parents' crumbling marriage. Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton come together to give phenomenal performances in this unforgettable noir drama chronicling the emotions that arise during a fraying marriage.
