About

Family man Miguel Cortes could be forced to leave the United States in 4 months due to his undocumented status. After living in the country for over a decade he was caught driving without a license. His wife and 2 daughters are also in the country illegally but weren't detained. Local police initiate Miguel's deportation processing and the clock begins ticking. In exchange for Miguel paying a $5000 bond, and promising never to return illegally again, an immigration judge grants him 120 days to get his affairs in order before reporting back to the U. S. Consulate in Mexico. So Miguel has 120 days to work hard, save money, and weigh his options about returning to Mexico alone, or risk changing his name and disappearing back into another American city illegally to keep his family together. Our cameras joined the Cortes family from the 1st day in court through Miguel's last official day in the US, revealing a hidden side of an undocumented society that few Americans ever get to see.
