About

This unique twelve-part series follows sixteen Northern Irish farming families across an entire year. Working hand-in-hand with nature and the weather, both the young and the old in these families share in the seasonal rhythm that brings food from the soil to the kitchen table, preserving the land for future generations while also feeding the current one. Taking UTV's cameras out with them in all weather and on every type of farm, the very best of Ulster's farms and farming families-including the breeders of pigs, poultry, sheep, and cattle, the growers of grain and grass, and the producers of eggs, potatoes, parsnips, and carrots-show how local produce ends up on the table and how one of Northern Ireland's largest and oldest industries-an international commodity worth millions-provides work for the tens of thousands of Irish people it also feeds.
