Open Heart - Season 1

In the wake of her father's recent disappearance, Dylan Blake has fallen in with a bad crowd. Dylan and her gang break into yet another home but the party goes off the rails quickly and when the others bail and leave Dylan to make a hospital run, she comes face-to-face with her mother Jane, the chief trauma surgeon and her older sister, London a first year resident.

Dylan's searches for her father's watch - she believes this will be a very important piece of the puzzle - and this requires her to get into Dr. Hudson's orbit. She ends up crushing on the hot Doc and learns the surprising fate of the watch - that Jane has had it all along. When Dylan finally gets a moment alone to look inside the secret compartment, she is disappointed to see there is only a sentimental origami note inside.

Dylan and Mikayla investigate the numbers on the back of Richard's origami note, and discover it's the hospital phone number, plus an out-of-date extension. Jared will help the girls find which office that extension once belonged to but only if Mikayla agrees to a date with him. Dylan quickly accepts the deal, upsetting Mikayla. Dylan and Wes find the office alone, along with something much worse - a dead body wrapped up in a tarp! Freaked out, Dylan calls Detective Goodis, the officer assigned to her father's case, who discovers that this is a missing psychiatrist - her father's psychiatrist!!

Dylan has researched the medication and now thinks Richard might have been schizophrenic. Mind blown, Dylan needs to confirm with someone who might know the truth and tries to broach the topic with London. But her older sister is so busy that Dylan digs deeper on her own and is shocked and devastated to find Richard's drawings and writings - symptoms of his paranoia and obsessiveness.

Dylan is determined to find the location of the graffiti solider that Richard drew. But before she gets started, the loudspeaker BLARES - the hospital is in lockdown! Hud and Dylan end up hiding together in the supply closet and Hud recognizes the graffiti from a picture on her phone. They bail from the lockdown and find the location. Dylan's very grateful for the help but things get a little awkward, especially when Wes confronts them once they return to the hospital.
