About

Cybill Sheridan is a 40-something actress living in Los Angeles. Past her prime and working in an industry that worships youth, Cybill has the remnants of her two failed marriages all around her. Her ex-husbands, stuntman Jeff and novelist Ira, are always hanging around, sometimes sleeping on the couch. Also present are her two daughters, a grandson, and Cybill's hysterical and slightly alcoholic best friend, Maryann.

While stuck in rush-hour traffic, an attractive gentleman asks Cybill out. Back at home, she forbids her teenage daughter Zoey from dating an older man and learns that her elder daughter Rachel is going to make her a grandmother.

Are Cybill's ex-husbands really out of her life? She's not sure any more as Jeff temporarily moves in and she and Ira share a romantic moment. Meanwhile, she must decide whether to do a movie with a nude shower scene.

Cybill is dismayed to learn that the soap opera character she portrays has been written into a coma along with Andrea, another veteran vixen, and that only one of them will recover.

Cybill is attracted to a guy she meets, while they walk their respective dogs, who turns out to be Ira's ex-psychiatrist. Meanwhile, Maryann befriends her ex-husband's new girlfriend Sharon in her continuing scheme for revenge.

Cybill convinces Ira to set Maryann up with Phil, a friend of his. Maryann is reluctant at first, but Cybill manages to talk her into going on a double date with her and Ira.

Cybill and Maryann go shopping and run into Ira, who is buying lingerie for his new girlfriend. Ira realizes that he has left his wallet at home and asks Cybill to pay for everything. In return, he promises her a favor - anything, anytime, anywhere. Cybill and Maryann decide to cash in on the favor when they make a spontaneous decision to go to Vegas.
