Kaiha'ale'a (Ha'a) Keaulana is a surfer, photographer, community champion and a member of the family of guardians who protect Mākaha Beach on the west side of Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi. For Haʻa, food sustainability is key to protecting the islandʻs fragile ecosystem.
