War Mage Academy

The last thing I expected was to gain the spells of the woman in my bed. Hell, I didn't even know magic existed until I'd cast a spell that morning. Then a beautiful teacher from a magical academy told me I could become the universe's most powerful mage. To get there, I need to become stronger. I need to ace all my examinations. And, most of all, I need to master the most potent spells. But I have to start somewhere. This begins my first year at the Mazirian Academy.

With the Exhibition Matches out of the way, I've won for myself a sponsor. The enigmatic and likely certifiably crazy Igor Chaosbane has drawn runes into my frat house's dungeon. Now that's out of the way, we can really get to training for the War Mage Games. And don't think I've forgotten about my other training methods. There's a fetching potions tutor who's got me wondering just what Infernal magic can do....

I'm Justin Mauler, student of Mazirian Academy, Creation Mage, and now the new owner of a poltergeist named Barry Chillgrave. Who'd have expected having a deceased buccaneer as your resident dungeon-running poltergeist would lead to trouble? Yeah, it's pretty much a given. And now I've discovered that my spell list might be limited. Which means only one thing: I have to find a way to break that limit. If anyone knows about Creation Magic, it's my dead dad. Good thing we've found a way I can speak with him. But it's going to require some serious footwork. Maybe even a murder or two. Or three. Jump in now and listen to my craziest antics yet.

I've collected the souls required to speak with my dead father, and he's got a lot to tell me. Hopefully, what he has to say will help me succeed in the coming Mage Game Qualifiers. Because if I get through, then I'll finally find my mother's white staff.

I've either made the greatest or worst decision of my life: to travel to the Chaosbane Family Ranch to celebrate Yuletide. One of the many fellow festivalgoers accompanying me is arguably the Chaosbane's craziest family member, Leah. There's no telling what kind of crazy antics we'll end up in, but I hope that at least one of them will lead to learning more spells.

In an expected turn of events, the Arcane Council has got us in their sights. Where do we run to except the Spectral Realm? Where spirits with unfinished business go to party. There, we hope to take refuge in the Stronghold of my late parents. Except knowledge of this Stronghold is lost. And only one woman can tells us where it is: a bloodthirsty and drop-dead gorgeous pirate by the name of Isobel Galeflint.

Hidden deep within the Castle of Ascendance are other Creation Mages. If I'm to save the Universal Magic, I need to find them. What I need to do with them isn't exactly fit for public consumption, but it's fundamental to who I am as a Creation Mage. I just have to slip into the castle, disguised as a noble, and snatch four other Creation Mages. All while avoiding the eyes of the Queen and the Arcane Council. Easy, right?

We have a mission: to save the Universal Magic. To do so, I need to locate three other Creation Mages. There's nowhere to find them except in the Infernal Realms, which means I'm going to have to meet with the very incarnation of evil: the devil. A journey into hell to meet with The Great Deceiver himself. How could it possibly go wrong?
