Swords of Valor

As six cousins mourn the death of their grandfather, their uncle, known as the Prophet, summons them to a meeting. In a remote family retreat, he reveals the secret history of their family and the prominent position their grandfather held as Meglio di Buono of the International Guardians of the Swords of Valor. The Prophet sends them back through time to pivotal points in history to obtain the four missing Swords of Valor, believed to have been stolen by the Apostles of Azazel. The consequences of failure mean far more than their own deaths. All of humanity could be destroyed. Any hope of succeeding lies in the power of the swords, their courage, and each other. Encountering some of the most influential figures of history, from Joan of Arc to Christ himself, the cousins must confront the reality behind everything they thought they knew, before the Apostles of Azazel can plunge the world forever into darkness. The world as they know it is gone. All of their efforts to save it had given the demon Watcher Azazel the very key he needed to bring the world to its knees. The power of the Swords of Valor is exhausted. The quantum computer, key to their operations, was malfunctioning. The Gray Champion had been struck down by Azazel, and the quantum essence of their grandmother had been cruelly abducted. Power to the Keeping Room had failed, plunging them into a darkness that flooded not only the eyes, but the soul, while the world above them burned. Despair, hopelessness, and uncertainty were all that remained in the hearts of the once-courageous Guardians. In the depths of their bitterest defeat, a Teacher comes to them, offering guidance shrouded in mystery. The robed, enigmatic figure may be their only hope to save their grandmother, and the world, but none of them are certain this Teacher can be trusted. Deception is the most powerful tool in the arsenal of their enemy, and this, too, could be nothing more than a demonic game to lead them to further despair. Journeying one last time through history, they must seek their ancestor and originator of their line of the Guardians of the Swords of Valor, Joseph of Arimathea. Only through him can they find the holy relics needed to defeat Azazel once and for all, the Stone of Jacob, the Holy Grail, and the mythical Sword Above All. Under the eyes of the archangels themselves, face to face against the Watcher Azazel, the Guardians must wage the final battle against evil. After weakening Azazel's power by destroying the Swords of Terror, the Guardians of the Swords of Valor are looking forward to life returning to normal. Under the guidance of the quantum computer and their grandfather, the Meglio, and with the help of the Swords of Valor, they once more travel back in time, this time to consult with key figures in political history; Marcus Tullius Cicero, Benjamin Franklin, Samuel Adams, and George Orwell. The cousins will have to be more clever, strong, and courageous than they have ever been before. They face the challenge of fighting an idea, a mere concept, battling an insidious infestation of apathy and complacency that threatens to overwhelm their world. They now face the ultimate challenge: How can they save a world whose people have willingly given up their freedom?
