Each of the temples situated in South India has got its own speciality among which the temple of lord sri Venkateshwara swamy in Tirupati tirumala is one of those. According to the puranas, the idol of Lord Sri Venkateshwara which is situated at Tirupati is carved out of a stone named Saligrama. Lord Sri Venkateshwara is called by different names like Govinda, Srinivasa and many more. It is believed that those who please Lord Venkateshwara, the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi will also be upon us as a result of this, all kinds of financial difficulties will be warded off.
