Sons of Steel

After returning from 2087, Black Alice and Dr. Secta are hell-bent on ensuring their nemesis, the evil Zen Corporation, will fail in its machinations of world domination. But before that Secta and Dr Hope need to protect Alice from the clutches of Honor and Karzoff, agents of the Oceana Government Secret Service. Alice is holed up in the Avalon bunker with the cover story he'd failed to return from the last mission. Secta has convinced the President of that but not Honor, she doesn't trust him. When Secta is tipped off Honor that is about to raid the bunker, he injects Alice with a new serum and he vanishes. Honor leaves the bunker discouraged and empty-handed. Alice returns from another dimension with a seminal quest. But his condition needs to be stabilised, and Secta is fresh out of ideas. In desperation he solicits help from renown physicist Professor de Luz. Secta and Hope smuggle Alice to Texas to meet him. Once there, Alice has the revelation his quest is to find the Ark of the Covenant. Professor de Luz holds the key. In secret he has developed the science to open a wormhole to any given time and theorises that by using Secta's serum to reduce Alice to molecules, he will be able to despatch him through a wormhole to Jerusalem in 587 BC, to hide the Ark before Jerusalem falls to the clutches of King Nebuchadnezzar II. Alice arrives a stranger in a strange land and sides with Israeli rebels. Honor discovers he has been sent to 587 BC to retrieve the Ark, and fearing it's for the Octagon Peace Movement to use it as a weapon, obtains permission to send an agent in pursuit of Alice. Secta, Hope and de Luz are captured and forced to dispatch the Zen agent through a wormhole after Alice. But the Zen agent, has a different agenda: he is to let Alice find the Ark, and then ... kill him. With the odds stacked against him Alice needs to steal the Ark, before the Babylonian army can sack and destroy Jerusalem.

The only key to freeing Enki lies in the legendary Tablet of Destinies, an ancient artefact used by Enki for interstellar travel, lost since 2500 BC. Alice time-travels to the Taurus Mountains in 2500 BC, joining forces with Ninurta, Enlil's son, to locate the Tablet.
