Seven Ways, Truths, and Reasons

God may reveal and explain things to us, or He may not. But whether He does or does not, He has a perfect plan for us and He is working it out, and also working within us. It is all for His Glory and our good. So we need to trust Him! Our security is in our love relationship with Him, not in understanding everything. There are times when Heaven seems silent. At times like these it is good to keep communication open with God as much as we can, no matter how we feel. It is important to keep reading the Word of God, even when we don't feel like it. The Word of God will do its work within us, whatever we are feeling. It is active and powerful, and God-breathed.

Here in Volume 2 are twenty-three stand-alone chapters of help in living the Christian life. There are chapters here for everyone people who are walking towards God, people walking with God, and those walking on with God.This is not a book where you have to start at Chapter 1 and work your way through to the end. The Contents page lists the title of every chapter, so just dive in and read one that interests you. Of course, you can start at Chapter 1 and read the whole book if you prefer, and our prayer is that every reader will be greatly blessed by what they read.The majority of these twenty-three chapters have been released individually as booklets, and every chapter as individual eBooks that are available in all formats from major eBook distributors. The eBook editions are free from most distributors. All the individual chapters in this Volume 2 and in Volume 1 are also available as separate eBooks from major book distributors.

If we are a child of God, we are loved, accepted, and welcomed into the family of God. God loves us with an everlasting, immovable love. We are secure in Him. Our good deeds or anything that we do will not make us more secure. And anything that we do wrong does not make us any less secure. We cannot overcome insecurity by doing things to impress God. We need to have the self image that is Biblical. Believing God's truth sets us free from insecurity. God wants us to find our security in Him alone.

A mother was dropping her son off at a Christian group. As she was leaving, she was asked, "Where are you going? There's a place set for you at the table. Are you not joining us?" "Is there really a place set for me?" The answer was, "Why yes, of course. We were expecting you." It was just a passing comment, but God brought it back to me and started speaking to me about it especially about the importance of it, because of how highly God values every one of us. All are welcome, a place is laid for all.

Unforgiveness, resentment, harbouring bitterness won't change anything with the situation or with the other person. But it will eat us out. A grudge weighs heavy on us. Satan rides on it and tells us lies, such as, "We have a right to be angry, we are justified look how they treated us." We need to protect ourselves. Resentment and anger destroys us. Nothing is too deep for God's grace and the Holy Spirit to reach down and remove it. Don't listen to the accuser. Deep-seated anger, pushed down over many years, will manifest itself in other ways, such as depression, hopelessness and despair. There is always a root cause, and this needs dealing with in prayer and wise counsel, or perhaps with a trusted friend.

When we get disappointed, we get discouraged and our expectations of things changing can grow dim. We can feel powerless and helpless. We often don't understand the circumstances, so we limit God. Our expectation levels and our faith in God can lose their cutting edge, and we can forget how big God is. We need to trust God when we can't see the light at the end of the tunnel. We need to remember that He Himself is the Light in the darkness, and as we trust Him He will come through for us.

The disciples were followers of Jesus. They walked with Him and lived their lives with Him. He taught them. He led them. He loved them. And He was a great example to them. They had the privilege of learning first hand from the Son of God!What about us today? Are we thanking and praising God in everything, and trusting Him to work things out for us? Do we trust Him to make us more like Jesus? Are we obeying God, even if it means taking a big step of faith? Or are we allowing fear to control us? Our answers to these questions will help us see our level of discipleship and growth. The more committed we are to God, the more blessed we are!

Loss of our natural appetite usually means there is something wrong. Spiritually, it can mean the same. God made us to hunger for His presence. Even good things can take away our hunger for God even things like our busyness in our work for Him. There is always the temptation to fill our time with good things, and miss the best that God has for us. God wants us to feast on Him, to spend time in His presence, and for His presence to be the pinnacle of our lives. We should desire God above all else (John 7:37-38).
