In the dead of winter, Taylor discovers that an old friend has been killed. In his efforts to find out the who and why, he uncovers a deadly drug enterprise, right there, in his own town of South Lake Tahoe. He and his pal, Digger Graves, make it a point to identify who's behind it all and to put them out of business. Things get dicey when they find the drugs are being shuffled into and out of the area by planes as they are determined to put a stop to the trade.

Taylor and Digger are drawn into a case of international intrigue when they are asked to find out how a Chinese company has been sneaking precursor chemicals for illicit drugs into the country.
