Sheriff Reddford Herring had no idea that the first coffin wouldn't be the last. But when Redd's investigation takes a dive into international territory, he quickly discovers that his routine procedures won't suffice. Did a liaison with a high-priced hooker go fatally wrong? Was the deputy sheriff dealing drugs? Or is something more ominous lurking? Redd had barely surfaced from a more local murder case-albeit one with a promising romance-before receiving the widow's call.
