Power Coder Naya loves coding, but she loves reading, too. When the younger students she tutors struggle with reading, Naya enlists the Power Coders to help her figure out how to use technology to track their progress and to help them fall in love with reading and writing. After testing a number of platforms and tools, the Power Coders convince Principal Gordon to get a subscription to Rosen-Lightsail. Naya's strategy works better than she could have imagined, especially when the kids read a mysterious poem that sparks their curiosity. In this exciting coding adventure, Naya, her students, and the Power Coders use tech tools to discover the identity of this gifted poet.

Power Coder Grace is detailed-oriented. It shows in her coding work as well as in her job as the copyeditor of the school's online newspaper. When a new student journalist submits an article about Coach Jenkins and his star running back Henry Lewis, Grace can tell that something doesn't smell right about the facts. She enlists the help of her fellow Power Coders to fact-check sources and reverse search photographs in the article. Even when they try to relax, the Power Coders get swept up in a coding challenge! While on the way to a local park, Tommy explains to the Power Coders that his brother, Evan, is making a robot for a "battle bot" competition. Evan may know how to build a robot, but can he create the code needed to make it work? He will after the Power Coders lend him a hand. After his Young Entrepreneur's Club meeting, Power Coder Peter is thinking more about million-dollar business deals than coding.
