I AM THE LAST FREE-LANCE PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR ON EARTH. My name is Zachary Nixon Johnson. B. Starr, the ex-exotic dancer who is now the CEO of ExShell, the largest corporation on the planet, hires me for a particularly sensitive assignment, I naturally expect the worst. After all, B. B. Starr is one of the richest and most powerful people on Earth--why does she need me? But even with the help of HARV--my annoyingly precise holographic assistant, who's the most intelligent computer on Earth--implanted directly into my brain (don't ask), this assignment sounds like more than I can handle. For B. B. Starr wants me to locate and disable BB-2, an android replica of B. B. herself. An android with a plutonium core, 160 times stronger, 176 times more durable, 200 times faster, with senses far more acute, and a vastly higher IQ than normal carbon-based humans. With the mega-high-tech assistance of his personal holographic A.I. and snarky best friend/antagonist Harv and his spunky psionic niece Carol, Zach is lead on a convoluted trail of intrigue. Par for the course, Johnson is confronted at every turn by ruthless, power-hungry and, of course, gorgeous women, who all want to get their hands on this bikini. It's Zach's job to prevent that from happening by getting his own hands on the bikini. And yes, he knows exactly how that sounds.

Zachary Nixon Johnson has dealt with Martians before, but never quite like this. Mars high Council member Merinda-1616 (all Mars colonists have numerical last names) has a very special job for the last freelance P.I. on Earth in the year 2057. Her dog has disappeared. It's not the kind of work Zach and his sardonic holographic assistant Harv would normally take, but this is no ordinary canine. Saturn is a super-intelligent, telepathic collie whose vanishing act unveils the true sinister plot. Someone is out to kill the beautiful and disturbingly talented Merinda-1616 and sabotage the upcoming trade talks between Mars and Earth's moon colony, quite possibly igniting interplanetary war.
