Nanomachines

I am a son, and I have nanomachines inside me. What did you expect? Having gained self-awareness while still in my mother's belly, I realized that this was my chance. Being born was the first step. Then at one year old I would have a college degree, and at five I would be a billionaire. I didn't care that I remembered nothing of the past. This being a magical world, and with lots of smart tech, too, I'd catch up in no time, wouldn't I? Yeah, right. "This baby's dying!"-That is what I heard in the first minutes of my life. I was dying? What? In the very first minute? Was this some kind of sick joke? Was the whole world against me? Something had to be done . . .

One word from her is enough to destroy my beloved family! She is strong, my great-grandmother, and feared by many! But not by me. For I am Michael Kaiser, and my talent is adaptation. I'll show you, old woman, how strong we rugrats can be! Time to get into training!

With the help of my great-grandmother's familiar, Baal, I overthrow a reign of tyranny at my preschool. Kids need toys! Power to tots! That done, I finally have time for some serious strength training! The 'Core Snatching' skill I learned from the deadly sin Envy comes in useful here. It lets me devour the very essence of a freshly killed being, and Baal suggests starting with demons-creatures that are beyond salvation. It's a good plan for enhancing my strength. And it works! Until, that is, I am pursued by something bigger than a demon . . . How will I deal with an enemy like this? How will I get away from a place like this? I don't know. But I know one thing. Somehow, I'll find a way. After all, I am Michael Kaiser, and my talent is Adaptation. I'll show you demons just how scary we tots can be!
