Jenna McGovern's strappy shoes and sundresses are not going to cut it when she makes the move from Hollywood Hills to Blueberry Lake, Minnesota in the stone-cold dead of winter. A former stylist to the stars, Jenna's determined to bring the latest red-carpet fashions back to the Midwest in an effort to revive her mother's floundering thrift shop. But when a difficult client is found dead hours after visiting the store from a high heel to the throat, she becomes the chief of police's #1 suspect. If Jenna doesn't clear her name quickly, she'll not only lose the chance to style the biggest winter wedding Blueberry Lake has ever seen, but her mother's thrift store will go under for good-and Jenna will be stuck flaunting the worst fashion of all time: a neon orange jumpsuit.

Jenna McGovern is dressed to kill for Blueberry Lake's annual firefighter charity auction. But when she finds her attractive fireman neighbor Matt Bridges standing over the body of a local hairstylist-and his ex-girlfriend-it's not exactly the romantic ambiance Jenna had in mind. While the handsome chief of police Cooper Dear sets out to investigate Matt, Jenna finds herself sucked into another murder case in which an innocent man seems to have been framed. Cooper isn't especially thrilled when Jenna takes Matt's side, and he's even less thrilled when it appears the murderer has turned his or her sights on Jenna. Unfortunately, Jenna's in far too deep to back out. She's got a new car, freshly waxed eyebrows, and a manicure that can be seen from space...but if Jenna doesn't stop the murderer before it's too late, she'll be picking out clothes for her very own funeral.

Jenna McGovern, the newest resident of Blueberry Lake, is finding it hard to escape her past. When a movie production begins filming on Main Street, she's more than a little disgruntled to discover her ex-boyfriend is the producer. But she's even more disgruntled to find he's the primary suspect in an attempted murder case. Jenna's got a host of other problems to worry about, like making her first trip to the Mall of America and getting her grandmother's derelict greenhouse up and running, but when her ex-boyfriend begs her for help, she can't seem to stay away from the case. After all, there's a murderer running loose in Blueberry Lake, and if Jenna doesn't call cut fast enough, she could be next.
