MESSAGE in the BONES
by Dawn Merriman
read by Matt Godfrey, Gina Rogers
Part 1 of the Messages of Murder series
I am not a freak, although many people call me that. The night my father was murdered and I was left for dead, I awoke with the ability to "sense" things. Touching things can give me visions, sometimes horrifying, murderous ones.
The bones of a murdered woman are unearthed and our safe small town is shaken to its core. Her killer was good at hiding the truth and after decades in the ground, any clues are gone-her murder a complete mystery. The only clues are the ones I can see.
My brother was recently promoted to head detective. With no other clues, you think he'd be thrilled to have my help, but he'd rather pretend I don't exist than use my gifts. Thank heavens, his handsome partner doesn't agree and calls me in.
Although I'm terrified to touch her, the mysterious skeleton has a story that needs to e told. When I grip the bones, I live through her murder. The message I see changes me- changes everything.
The only person who believes me is the one man who knows the truth of my visions-the killer. He's desperate to keep his secrets buried. Now he hunts a new prey-me. I don't need psychic powers to know he's right behind me-closing in-about to strike.

MESSAGE in the FIRE
by Dawn Merriman
read by Gina Rogers, Matt Godfrey
Part 2 of the Messages of Murder series
Psychic visions are tricky things-especially from a woman in a coma
I find the murdered woman crumpled under a tree. Blood stains her back and her hands are bound. If I touch her, my psychic abilities will show me what happened to her. But I've lived through murders before, and the visions leave scars. Fighting my fear, I touch her-and only see four names-Addlynn Jeanette Claire Margaret.
The unmistakable cry of a newborn infant shatters the calm of the woods. Her body is wrapped around the tiny boy, impossibly small and fragile. I scoop up the screaming infant, and the woman moves to protect her son. She's alive.
Alive, but in a coma-a complete mystery. The detectives, my brother and his handsome partner, desperately need information. I'm the only one who can communicate with the woman. Touching her hand in the hospital provides only snippets of her life. Terrifying snippets, like how she got the scar burned into the palm of her hand.
Visions are tricky things. The details float like smoke-lost in the haze. I can't tell what she's running from, but the woman's terror burns inside me. I will find out who hurt her, and I won't stop until I bring them to a fiery end.

Part 3 of the Messages of Murder series
The darker the secret, the harder it is to keep buried
I'm finally accepting that my psychic talents serve a purpose, that I can use them to help people. But two mysteries plague me. What happened to my good friend Lucas' sister after she disappeared then years ago?
And if my father was murdered when I was young, why do I keep seeing him?
When I find the long-buried remains of Lucas' sister, her murdered body only opens more questions. There is an evil lurking in my small town. An evil so close that I can't trust anyone. An evil so well hidden that even my special abilities can't see it.
As more people are murdered, I must keep digging for the truth-the truth that might tear my family apart-the truth we all must face.
