Leaving Behind: A Literary Analysis into the Mass Exodus of Caribbean People
by Tricia Monk
Part of the Mental Rose series
This text is a literary essay that evaluates the causes of Caribbean migration, consistently, over the decades. The background reads that, the issue of Caribbean migration is evolving, as migration is increasing with time. Many theorists have tried to determine the factors that are contributing to the increasing numbers of Caribbean immigrants to the "States" and other European nations; governed by the same government they've driven out and attained independence from in the past. Despite the Caribbean's attainment of national independence from Europeans, it appears through written and oral discourse, that the Caribbean islands and its people haven't fully acquired independence from the inferior conditions of their past; from which they are still suffering economically and socially.
This short analysis, with photos included, will analyze the literature of the Caribbean, while exploring the theories of underlying inferior economic conditions, lifestyle differences, and the consistent migration of the Caribbean Islands.
