The Daily Planet reporter CLARK KENT is having a bad day. Unfortunately, so is the rest of METROPOLIS. The evil imp MISTER MXYZPLTLK is on the loose and causing magical mayhem throughout the city. To stop him, the MAN OF STEEL will need a few tricks of his own.

Darkseid has always been one of SUPERMAN'S strongest foes, so when the MAN OF STEEL discovers that the Dark Lord and his demonic minions have located the Infinity Particle, SUPERMAN realizes he's in deep trouble.

POISON IVY is sick and tired of watching the Daily Planet newspaper produce billions of pounds of waste each year. With a little help from a recently discovered crashed kryptonite meteorite, IVY creates a voracious vine and covers the Daily Planet building with her creeping creation. That way, she can hold the paper hostage and keep SUPERMAN out!

Again and again, BOOSTER GOLD conveniently beats SUPERMAN to the punch in stopping the villains and saving the day, making the MAN OF STEEL wonder if this new hero is as all glitter and no gold...

Thousands of aliens have targeted Earth. The MAN OF STEEL battles them in back into orbit, and opens the armor of one of the soldiers. Inside is DOOMSDAY! Superman breaks open more armor. All the soldiers are DOOMSDAY clones - thousands and thousands of clones! One Doomsday is bad enough, but now there are infinite Doomsdays!

Intergalactic alien hijackers have stolen Earth's moon! SUPERMAN may be an alien himself, but he's not about to sit back and watch his adopted planet be torn asunder by terrible tidal waves. The MAN OF STEEL zooms into space to recover the straying satellite, but he's quickly overwhelmed the horde of angry aliens. LEX LUTHOR, SUPERMAN'S archenemy, offers his help, but can SUPERMAN trust him?

The power-hungry PARASITE is powered up again after being struck by lightning and absorbing the incredible energy. SUPERMAN steps up to stop him. But has PARASITE become too strong for even the MAN OF STEEL to stop?

A solar flare suddenly erupts near astronaut HANK HENSHAW'S space shuttle, killing him. But that wasn't the end for HENSHAW - he survived, and in the process, developed the ability to fuse his consciousness with machines. HANK blames SUPERMAN for his tragic fate, and is dead set on unleashing all the powers of technology in his bid to break the MAN OF STEEL.
