Lanis Chronicles

After fighting off agents sent by her old master, Sophie and her friends have finally made it across the sea and to the western continent. As excited as she may be, there is still a long way to go before she is safe. Met by a knight with a rescue mission in mind, their troubles are far from over. Together, they set out for Tempest Hall, an ancient castle ruled by one of the oldest families in Tanalin. Their mission is to extract the Phoenix, a spy believed to have been captured by the lord of the castle. The plan is simple: infiltrate Tempest Hall, find the Phoenix, and get out alive.

Set in the world of Lanis, Sophie, a young woman who has spent her life studying and mastering the arcane practice of magic, is forced to flee her home and a promising future in Zo'rahn-a land that esteems mages above all others-in order to escape the clutches of those who would use her talents for their own designs. With the aid of a mysterious order from a faraway country, Sophie will have to make her way across arid plains, through primeval forests, and over treacherous mountain passes if she is to have even a chance at freedom. Dogging her footsteps are the agents of her mentor, one of the most influential mages in all of Zo'rahn.
