Julie Avery Mystery Trilogy

HER NEW BOOK is Part 1 in the mystery trilogy where we meet journalist turned Romance/Mystery author, Julie Avery. On a dark, rainy night as she begins to write her latest novel in her office on the lonely cul-de-sac in Monique, Indiana, she's confronted by a stranger at her door, her handsome new neighbor, Eric Players. She is immediately attracted to him and a friendship begins that Julie thinks might become more. When she discovers Eric has a secret, her journalism background kicks in and makes her want to investigate; but things take a bad turn when she discovers that Eric's secret could put her life in jeopardy. Her Longtime High School friend, Brandon Jenkins, who silently loves Julie and has always been there for her, helps solve the mystery with his good friend, Detective Don Graverton, who saves Julie from potential danger.

THE CURSE OF APARTMENT 5B is the second book in the Julie Avery Mystery Trilogy. Richard Beasley, Julie's publisher was pleased with HER NEW BOOK. It had sold well in the bookstores and online. He was anxious for Julie to continue providing her novels to him for publication, especially since she had added the mystery twist to HER NEW BOOK. Richard is equally pleased when Julie sells her cottage in Monique and moves to Fort Wayne. His and Brandon's offices are downtown, not far from Julie's new apartment. He is excited for the opportunity to work closer with Julie and to get her current book. He loves the story line she shares with him about the strange happenings at the West End Manor and the interesting people who live there. As we meet and get to know the residents, we find Julie's life is hectic as she plans for her upcoming wedding while researching the background of the curse of Apartment 5B for her current book.

THE ARCHITECT is the last book in author Julie Avery's Mystery Trilogy, following HER NEW BOOK where we met Brandon Jenkins, her high school boyfriend and Eric Players, her tragic new love interest and the second episode, then THE CURSE OF APARTMENT 5B which explored the people and the curse at West End Manor where Julie and her cat Spot, move to in Fort Wayne after selling her cottage in Monique, Indiana. The story wraps up now with THE ARCHITECT, the back story of Eric Players and his father Ben. It shares Eric's love of creating with his father as a young boy which leads him to become an architect. His dysfunctional early life, the tragedy of the construction accident, and his father's subsequent death takes a toll on Eric, mixed in with his obsession for Julie; but once again, Detective Don Graverton comes to the rescue in the adventure of their lifetime as we close with the exciting finale of this three-part story of author, Julie Avery's life in Indiana.
