Jeet and Fudge

Kids and adults alike will delight in this level 2 emerging reader, the first in a series about a young Sikh boy, his "yummy" sidekick puppy, and their adventures in volunteerism and play. Jeet is new to town and a little lonely. To combat this, he and his mom start volunteering at a local animal shelter. There, Jeet makes a new friend in a happy puppy, Fudge! Jeet's world is about to get a whole lot better. This title is leveled using both the Lexile and Fountas & Pinnell reading level standards.

Jeet and his puppy Fudge love to read books and wish they could make more friends, who also like to read. Inspired by another Sikh boy practicing his seva (his selfless act of kindness) by donating books to people in need, Jeet and Fudge set out with their Mom and Dad to also give back to their community.
