Grimsson

Detective H. Grimsson is a city detective, and a damn good one at that, owing much to what he calls his uncanny intuition. However, that's only half the truth of it-detective Grimsson is clairvoyant and frequently sees the grim shadow of death before it approaches. A young college student is found dead in his BMW on a gravel road not far from the city. He was shot at close range. Grimsson suspects that this has something to do with the nudes that the deceased had in his possession. In August, the deceased and his two college friends were at a party where a young girl died from a drug overdose. Is there a link? A few days later another college student is found shot dead in his car. This second victim was also at the party. What Grimsson doesn't know is that a selected group of college students have received anonymous messages from a sinister social media page called Deathbook. Deathbook asks the students to give it a name of a person who is making their life miserable. A few days later, the person they name is found dead. The leader of the anarchist gang is Aron Beck, a dangerous sociopath serving time in prison. When another brutal murder takes place, and another unlikely perpetrator is captured, Grimsson begins to wonder if Aron Beck is somehow behind all this madness. But how? Detective H. Grimsson is intelligent, hard as nails, and very resourceful. But he is also his own worst enemy. When two young female hitchhikers disappear, Grimsson fears that the girls are lost in the highlands or have drowned in the glacial river. But then one of the girls wanders naked into the village and dies in Grimsson's arms. The girl has ligature marks on her arms and legs, and her ears have been cut. She was probably kept somewhere against her will and possibly tortured. Grimsson organizes a massive search for the second missing girl. Is one of the villagers responsible for the girl's disappearance? The perpetrator could easily be a member of the rescue team looking for the missing girl. When Grimsson finds out that foreign girls have disappeared in the area before, he realizes that he might be dealing with a devious serial killer-a real monster who hides behind an innocent façade.
