Good Bad Magic

It's hard being a good witch when your clients want bad magic. I'm a witch. Not a powerful witch, mind, but as Grandma liked to say, it's all in the kindness, not the power. Grandma is gone now, but her dream of having a witch shop lives with me. So, when the opportunity to run my own shop presents itself, I move across the country to take it, no questions asked. But maybe I should have. The sexy local bounty hunter shifter thinks I'm up to no good, my clients keep asking me to use forbidden dark magic, and someone's trying to sabotage my shop. Probably the same someone who reported me to the Witch Council and left a dead body in my bathtub. Hah! Joke's on them. As Grandma also used to say, it's nothing a positive attitude, excellent cleaning supplies, and the complete annihilation of whoever has in it for me can't fix. Paraphrasing.

Good witch by vocation, bad witch by reputation. Things are going great! I survived the sabotage of my witch shop and a murder attempt, my business and personal life are thriving, and Ian's estranged half brother and local shifter alpha wants me to make him a dark magic potion. Okay, maybe not that great. Turns out, Hutton has been keeping a huge secret, and he needs dark magic to keep it that way before a group of visiting "friendly" alphas figure out something's up and make a move on his territory. Problem is, the kind of potion Hutton needs is well beyond a good witch's power, and if I don't figure something out, not only will the pack lose their home, but Hutton will blame me and take my shop and dreams down along with him. With time running out, what's a witch to do but shore up on affirmations, involve a certain bounty hunter who doesn't want to get involved, and bend a few rules?

Bad magic and good witches don't mix, but I make it work. Spellbooks are a witch's best friend, especially when they're passed down from your beloved dead Grandma. So, when an anonymous caller is interested in buying mine, my answer is nope, not ever, go away. Problem is, they won't take no for an answer. With suspicious newcomers in town and the increasing odds someone thinks my spellbook is full of dark magic, I find myself with no shortage of motives or suspects. Good thing I'm dating Ian, the world's sexiest paranormal problems expert. Bad thing said world's sexiest paranormal problems expert thrives on secrets. When part of his bounty hunter past suddenly rears its ugly head, the question is: are both things unrelated, and, as Grandma used to say, have old bounties come back to bite us in our proverbial peaches?

Pumpkins, witches, and murder. It's a haunted Halloween! Halloween has arrived in Olmeda, and someone's celebrating by leaving bloody pentagrams all over the city. As the resident official witch, it's my job to figure out what the pentagrams mean and if they're more of a threat than a prank. Extra points if I find out who did it before they ruin the best holiday of the year, one I plan on spending with Ian. But finding the culprit is harder than expected-nobody saw anything and there's no shortage of suspicious paranormals. In the words of my new personal motto: everyone is a suspect. Things get even more complicated when I find one of my suspects dead. In my shop. Big Mistake. The gloves are off now, and good luck to whoever is wreaking havoc in my town, because Hell hath no fury like a good witch bent on maintaining her shop's reputation while saving Halloween!

Lights, camera, curses! It's official-I'm the luckiest witch ever! I have my own witchy shop, a great boyfriend, and my favorite book is being turned into a movie right here in Olmeda. Okay, so the shop is still on probation, Ian is still busy with the fallout from Halloween, and the movie has brought back the city's most infamous curse-anyone filming in Olmeda will come to regret it. When magic-involved incidents start happening on the movie set, the strays and I are asked to investigate. Unfortunately, there's no shortage of suspects and motives, and, as the saboteur grows bolder and one of the local shifters is injured, we're also short on time to figure out who it is. To make things worse, there's an undercover Council witch in my shop with a cold attitude and a potion test. If I fail it, they might take the shop away. If I don't find the person sabotaging the movie, they might escalate the violence. If Ian doesn't return home ASAP, I might expire from longing. Olmeda might be the one currently cursed, but I'm starting to think I'm a little cursed myself!

There's something wrong with Olmeda's paranormals. First, the fire mage can only produce ice, then one of the wolf shifters can't shift back to human. What's worse, it all seems centered around the Tea Cauldron, especially when an out-of-town witch suffers from the same magical issue shortly after stopping by. Turns out, it's not the first time this has happened in Olmeda, and all the leads point to an old local dark coven. Is a witch related to the past trying to get revenge on the city, or is there a new magical threat targeting those close to me? Owning a witch shop might've started as my and grandma's dream, but its become so much more than that. I might not have huge power at my disposal, but I have Ian, my allies, gumption, and plenty of affirmations to back me up. Whoever is causing all this mayhem better get ready, because I'm not letting my friends or my town down, even if it costs me my shop!
