Summer is here, and Finley is getting ready for Camp Acorn! She can't wait to make crafts, eat s'mores, and prove that she's tough enough to get back to nature. Unfortunately, she'll be sharing a cabin with Olivia Snotham, who's not exactly the outdoorsy type. When nature calls and the girls get lost on the way to the restrooms, Finley's spooky ghost story comes back to haunt them. As they work together to find a creative way home, Finley discovers that there's more than one way to be tough.

Finley can't wait to start the inventors project at school - after all, thinking up new ideas is her thing. But will her entertaining invention work on the super-serious invention judges?

The class Halloween party is just around the corner, and Finley can't wait! There will be treats and dancing, and she's come up with a super-spooktacular costume for the fourth grade Halloween parade. But when a morning mix-up leaves Finley and her best friend Henry without their costumes, she has to think fast. Finley's creative skills are put to the test as she tries to come up with new costumes in time for the parade.

Finley's best friend Henry is about to turn nine, and Finley has a major problem - she has no idea what to give him for his birthday. He already owns all of her best creations! The school cook-off might be the perfect solution. The grand prize is a year's worth of Flying Pie Pizza, Henry's favorite. But coming up with something original and tasty is harder than it looks. As one crazy concoction leads to another, Finley discovers that cooking is just like the rest of life - things don't always turn out as planned and friendship is the real prize.

Finley wants-no, needs-a pet. But before Mom and Dad will even consider it, she'll have to prove that she's ready for some responsibility. When her next-door neighbor needs a last-minute pet sitter, it seems like the purr-fect opportunity. But Finley soon learns that taking care of a pet isn't all cuteness and cuddles-especially a cat like Goo-Goo. When Goo-Goo proves to be more than she can handle on her own, Finley enlists her brother and sister to help. While they don't always agree, together they come up with some creative ways to get the job done.

It's time for Finley's class to vote on a service-learning project, and Finley has a Fin-tastic plan. A class garden would beautify the school grounds, combat soggy cafeteria vegetables, and create a place to have class outside. The students get their hands dirty and work hard to build raised beds, prepare the soil, and plant a garden. Finley's group picks seeds that are supposed to sprout first. But after days of watering and waiting, Finley and her friends are starting to wonder if their seeds are duds. The friends try everything-even singing to the seeds to help them grow. Will they ever enjoy the fruits of their labor, or will all of their hard work be in vain?

Inspired by her sister Evie's favorite show, Finley decides to become a fashion designer. She creates Fin-tastic Fashions and starts making samples for her friends to model. The orders come pouring in, but just as the fad is taking off, Finley's mom finds out that Finley has been using the family's forks in the name of fashion. Not wanting to disappoint her first fashion fans, Finley wracks her brain trying to come up with another necessary accessory. While eating lunch in the cafeteria, Finley is inspired to tweak her original concept, creating a new fashion fad with a mission.
