Some dream of prosperity, of living a calm and peaceful life. But not me. Having reached the pinnacles of success, I can't stop thinking about the past, about a time when any misstep could spell disaster, when I had to pay, work, and risk everything for even the slightest gain and each day was like walking a knife's edge. That's all in the past now. This peaceful, predictable, and privileged life isn't so bad. But it's boring! Be wary of desire, lest it shape your reality. A new life will find you, and it won't be comfortable. You'll wake up in a strange place, where every day is a fight for survival, and you can't rest for a minute if you want to find food and shelter. It is both a cell and a universe all to itself. The question is: will you be able to find out where you are and how to escape?

Hunter continues his journey through his icy alien world. Having adapted to the merciless conditions beyond the Bunker, he has begun to expand his "territory" and explore new points on the map around the enormous Pillar. Cross-shaped cells, each housing a destitute soul, soar overhead, orbiting the colossus. Naked, frost-bitten Walkers-once noble souls, now twisted and mutated by suffering-wander the icy wastes. Bent and aged former prisoners, who survived their forty-year sentence in the skies, now swarm around scattered shelters, attempting to find peace in what's left of their broken lives. Amidst all of this, an accidental traveler dashes deftly over snow drifts on hand-fashioned skis. He narrowly avoids an encounter with a ferocious bear, but doesn't notice the ominous winged shadow manifesting above him . . .

Hunter was forced to abandon life as he knew it when he first arrived on the ice world of the Pillar. But, unlike so many others, he didn't let the merciless conditions of his new home break him. Since his very first day in this joyless, freezing hellscape, he fought for survival. Navigating the snowy wastes, hunting massive bears for meat and furs, battling winged fiends and zombie-like Walkers that shoot electric pulses from their chests, Hunter is ever ready for new challenges. Deftly maneuvering a heavy-duty all-terrain vehicle through the snows, he and a handful of daredevils set out on a dangerous journey to investigate the underground bunker known as Captain and find out why it went silent long ago . . .
