When cat-handler Rhonda Kane is, injured on the set of a TV mystery pilot, sixty-something cat shelter volunteer Lynley Cannon steps in to help. Lynley is good with Clark Gable and Cary Grant, Rhonda's identical red tabbies, but the production proves to be another story. Rumors fly of a mysterious "hex" causing mayhem and misfortune on set.
