Newly minted firefighter Chase van Casten has always seen things others miss-except when it comes to love-so when a string of fires pops up at his new job, he knows right away that something isn't right. Unfortunately, the only person who believes him is the owner of one of the burned properties.  Jerrod Whipkey lost everything he owned when his home burned. Investigators determine the fire's cause to be faulty wiring, but as an electrician, Jerrod checked it over thoroughly. Now he's in danger of losing his reputation along with everything else. While Chase and Jerrod try to untangle the truth behind the fires, the heat between them builds to white-hot. But while Chase keeps Jerrod at arm's length, the arsonist seems to have both of them in their sights. Can they forge a way forward with their hearts intact and uncover the arsonist before they get burned?

With awkward apologies out of the way, Kyle and Hayden realize they have a lot in common. And when it turns out someone set the fire at Kyle's construction site to target him, they find they can solve each other's problems too: Hayden needs a place to stay while his apartment is renovated, and Kyle doesn't want to be alone in case the firebug strikes again. Things between the two of them quickly heat up-but so does the arsonist's agenda. Can they track down the would-be killer before it's too late?

When he brings them home, his three dogs take to the family with gusto. Then the fire that brought Willy and the kids into his life turns even more problematic. Code violations led to the fire spreading more quickly than it should have. As Willy and Kevin investigate, they come up against forces that would rather turn a blind eye. Can they protect the new family they're building, or will it all go up in flames once more?
