Altered Creatures Epic Adventures

Young Thorik Dain's journey to discover who or what destroyed his people's most sacred center, leads him on an unexpected quest to prevent the fall of the great Dovenar Kingdom, and the elimination of all mankind. Struggling to find the truth, Thorik confronts an entirely new world to him with overwhelming magic, altered beasts, battle-risen undead, and even deceivers amongst his closest allies. Weighing upon Thorik's shoulders are his uncle's desire to control him, his mentor's obsession to vanquish the new rising leader, and Thorik's own internal demons of self-doubt. The land's destiny is in Thorik's hands, while his confidence and conviction to his beliefs will define his own fate.

The Eve of Light sets the timetable of the prophecy to come true, Ambrosius' son, Ericc, will be sacrificed at the Temple of Surod. Darkmere and his son, Lord Bredgin, will ensure the prophecy comes true in order to rid the family line of future threats. Lord Bredgin uses his powers of light and darkness to destroy anyone in his path while he hunts down Ericc. Bredgin has been training his entire life to prevent the second part of the prophecy from coming true, for if Ericc is not sacrificed, the boy is be the one who will kill Lord Bredgin. Thorik searches for Ericc only to find out that the young man has revenge on his mind. Unable to talk him into going into hiding from Darkmere and Lord Bredgin, Thorik end up losing the young man to the enemy's hands. In his effort to save him, Thorik accidently becomes an outlaw of the local province. Thorik and his team chase Ericc across Australis, while being chased themselves for crimes in Southwind.

Accompanying him on this trek are his uncle who wishes to end the foolhardy journey, a young girl whose desire for Thorik distracts him from his quest, an alchemist who has his own devious plans once the spell is found, and a creature who knows the mysteries and mythology of the land. Using his conviction and perseverance to overcoming temptations and deadly threats, Thorik unites his companions in order to help save his grandmother.

War has finally arrived along with the demons who are planning to take the world back from the humans and other species who have ruled for hundreds of years. Rummon, lord of the dragons, must be resurrected to end the war. But doing this will cause a second war, a war pitting dragons against dragons. This war of dragons, giants, demons, and altered creatures must be stopped before all is lost. It will be up to Thorik and his companions to figure out how to restore peace, assuming it's not too late.

Thorik is hunted for changing the future and the past, causing mass chaos centuries away from him. To stop these ramifications, E'rudites search for him in hopes of using their powers to prevent his birth and therefore preventing him from his actions in the first place. Unsure how to evade those pursuing him, Thorik retreats into a city whose citizens live in extreme poverty and controlled by a cruel overlord. In his attempt to help free them from their plight, he finds he exposes himself and those he cares about to the powers of the E'rudites.

Thorik has caused the death of the legendary Mountain King, releasing a rift forward through time that will change history forever. With the King dead, the war to free the slaves from the Notarian rulers will never take place, preventing the Dovenar Kingdom from ever existing. Without the strength of the Dovenar Kingdom, the Altered Creatures will most likely become masters of the civilized species. Leading them, the demon Ergrauth will finally be able to eliminate all species that do not obey him. Thorik had been warned by the E'rudites that his actions would cause such a historical change, which evolved into the destruction of civilization. Against Avanda's loving pleas, it is up to him to resolve this mistake even at the expense of his own life.

Thrown back in time, Santorray finds his ancestors being eradicated from existence by the Alchemists and the Altered Creatures military army which they use to do their bidding. If they succeed, history will be changed and Santorray will have never existed. The only weapon the injured and struggling villages have left is the newcomer, Santorray. But what can one Blothrud possibly do against an army of Altered Creatures and Spell Casters?
