Abusing Her Heart

Twenty-four-year-old Lynette Jones has it all together. She's the head RN at the hospital she works at, owns her own home, and has her own car. The only thing that seems to be missing is love... until Shawn steps in. Shawn is twenty-eight years old and has just transferred to the hospital Lynette works at as head oncologist. As soon as he touches down, he sets his sights on Lynette and will do anything to have and keep her. With a man this perfect in her sights, Lynette falls head over heels for him. The only problem is everything that glitters isn't gold, and Shawn has a serious temper issue that threatens to tear Lynette apart. Will Lynette leave Shawn's side after everything that he puts her through? Or will Shawn break down a once strong woman?

Nothing can be worse than the man that you love and claims to love you, putting his hands on you. At least that is what Lynette feels after enduring emotional and physical abuse at the hands of the man she calls her own. It seems like nothing good is coming from him. Shawn is struggling with his inner demons and Lynette is facing the anger of them all on her own. He doesn't know when to stop when it comes to getting things to be his way, and it's been proven over and over again with the way he treats Lynette when he feels as if she is not doing what he wants. Will he change or will Lynette continue to face his wrath? While Lynette and Shawn are struggling amongst themselves, King is patiently waiting in the wings. It seems as though nothing he does can distract him from the beauty that is Lynette. All he wants is to protect her from anything that causes her harm, including his own brother. Will Lynette continue in her dangerous game with Shawn, or will she find something new in King?

When is enough, enough? After leaving Shawn behind her, Lynette is ready to move on with her life with King by her side. But it doesn't seem like Shawn is willing to let her go, no matter how done with him she says she is. As things progress with King, it all seems to fall right into place. They fit together like two puzzle pieces and nothing can break them apart. Or so it seems, until some of King's past creeps up to disturb the already fragile nature of the relationship between King and Lynette. Will everything work out for the lovers?
