This book emphasizes that Christian apologetics is a responsibility for all believers, not just a select few. It begins with a personal relationship with Jesus and the presence of the Holy Spirit. Apologetics involves defending the faith with meekness and fear, as mandated by Peter in his first letter. Christians must be prepared mentally and spiritually to defend their faith, especially in an age of relativism.

Time would fail to try to explain all of the dynamics that are associated with God's preparation process for ministry and service. There is a definite art to how He does it. The only person that can hinder us is ourselves. In the pages of this book, we will discuss how God uses problematic people and situations to prepare us before and during ministry for effective service.

In this brief study, we will examine the proper motives for Christian ministry and service; and also motives to avoid. What is motive? How do we define motivation? Motive/motivation is defined as something (as a need or desire) that causes a person to act. So then, what causes us to do what we do in the Kingdom? What are the forces driving you to want to minister? Why do you want God to use you? Why do you allow God to use you? Self-inventory has to be taken on a regular basis. In the second book of this series, we learn that it is only through self-examination that our motives in ministry and service remain pure. As leaders and servants in the Church and kingdom of God, we can lose focus on God's plan and purpose for ministry. In this brief study, we will examine the proper motives for ministry and those to avoid.

This publication is not about the functions of gifts and ministries, but it explains God's plan for them. Without a proper understanding, ministry in the Kingdom is ineffective. In this brief study, we will establish an understanding for God's mandate for ministry. ​​​​​​​ God created the world by His spoken word and His divine power. He does not need mankind to do anything. However, God used men and women from the beginning to accomplish His will in the earth. Thus, if God chooses to use us, He knows His ultimate reason for doing so. We must understand that when God calls, anoints, and gives us gifts, He has a particular purpose for their use. If we are not careful, we can serve in ministry and in the Church for years without ever fulfilling the mandate of God for our lives. In the first book of this series, we will provide an understanding of God's reason for ministry, we must prepare ourselves for service. Without the proper preparation, our ministering will be powerless.

In this issue, we will discuss the need for ministry among pastors and leaders. Jesus was referred to as the Wounded Healer. In spite of rejection and sorrow, He ministered to the needs of others. Today, we find leaders throughout the Body of Christ who are wounded healers. They minister to others without receiving ministry themselves. This has caused many leaders to suffer burn-outs, sicknesses, and even early deaths. In this issue, we want to briefly examine the influences surrounding this problem in leadership.

The ministry and role of the Elder is clearly established throughout the New Testament writings. To effectively discharge his duty, the Elder must have a firm grasp on his spiritual heritage and significance. In this issue, we will look at the ministry and function of Elders in the early Church, which form the foundation for the Christian pastor or leader today.

False ministers come in varying categories; that is, they demonstrate their false ministries in differing guises and gimmicks. In this publication, we want to explore five common types of false workers and ministers in the Church. As we endeavor to serve in the Church, we must be on guard against false minsters and ministry that try to infiltrate the Church. Remember the words of Jesus, "beware of wolves in sheep's clothing."
